Up for sale is a set of 2/0 battery cables for an XJ. Depending on the current condition of your battery cables, these can make your starter turn much faster, your headlights brighter, and give you an extra volt on your voltage meter. When I did it to my '90 it started about 2 seconds faster, and the windows moved up and down faster. Definately a must if you have something like a winch or extra lights. Using these is about the same as buying an optima battery and keeping your stock cables.
Here you can see how much bigger the cables are, the top cable is my original battery cable, and the bottom is the 2/0.
- 2/0 gauge, marine grade, extremely flexible tinned cable
- Marine battery terminals
- 4 gauge aux. ground and positive-PDC cable. (stock is 8 gauge)
- Lugs are hydraulically crimped and sealed in heat shrink tubing
