The Putco harnesses have worked fine for me. Four of them to be exact. I believe most of the problems are caused by not sanding down the spot where you attach the relay grounds. Also be aware in the reviews, some guys complained because the lights didn't work well and the real cause was they had factory foglights. That is no faults of Putco.

I'm thinking of doing the putco harness, but I have factory fog lights, is there something different I need to do?

Yes. Initially, remove the fuse so they don't work. Then, there is a work-around that's quite simple but I can't get my hands on it right now.

Be careful with the relays on the putco and eautoworks. Mine were very susceptible to rust and would burn out the relays. After finding it hard to get the 4 prong relays I made my own out of 10awg wire. It took about an hour to do and the light output is even better then with the premade harness.
