headers or throttle body ?

howdy i have a 96 xj 4.0 auto.. what my jeep has on it is cold air intake poweraid spacer and 3 inch straight pipe to a glass pack.. my ? to you guys is should i buy a bbk 62mm throttle body or some headers ? what will i feel more noticeable power with :huh:

a bored throttle body will give you a more sensitive throttle and replacing the header might just replace your stock one that might already be cracked. I'd say replace header first. But it's alot more work of course.

X2. I just got my 63mm throttle body from Jeff and its great! My friend has a BBK and it whistles. He called the customer service and they kind of gave him some trouble. The Leigh Performance TB is the way to go.

Leigh's bored TB's are a lot cheaper as well.. whatever you do, get rid of that TB spacer.

I agree on getting rid of the spacer. The tb spacer actually decreased the low end acceleration response. It's actually more preppy without the spacer.

So the TB without the spacer is like a popped collar whereas the TB with the spacer is more like a denim jacket? :dunno:

i would do a header.. it seems like you have the intake side down. on your 3" exhaust are you running a 3" down pipe?

all i have on my jeep is K&N cold air intake, poweraid throttle body spacer, 99' intake manifold, and no muffler... i have a 2 1/2" down pipe after the cat. Just with those upgrades my jeep runs like a champ.. i've never had any problems with power
