have a surge need HELP

ok i need help i have a 98 xj i just replaced the cap roder and plugs it did not help i have a power surge at about 40 to 60 i have cheaked all the vac lines good

take a look at your throttle position sensor. see if that's your problem. i had a similar problem and that solved it for me.

i found out what it was one of the plug wires were bad
