I dunno what to say... Seems like the USG is attempting to cast a large net and hoping to catch a few large fish... meanwhile allowing a lot of small fish to thrive & spawn.
Curiously, a DA in WSNC charged a meth lab operator with PWMD. (the chems involved are not only percursors to crank, but also highly volatile and a hazard to the public in a clandestine lab setting) Be interesting to see how that plays out... I personally think that omnipresent drugs (not just the illegal ones) are more a threat to our nation's livelyhood than some occasional terrorism.
I'll qualify that with saying that I find no harm in a person smoking Cannibas. If all the billions wasted on Cannibas enforcement since the 60's were directed towards actually interdicting the more dangerous drugs, I think the nation would be better off by now.
I also think that illegal migration needs to be stopped dead... The burdens from an influx of legal immigrants can be manageable. A steady flow of illegals is not. IMO apprehended illegal immigrants need to be removed from US soil immediately upon apprehention. (cages at Guantanamo shall do...) Due process is afforded to citizens, these people are here illegally... send them somewhere else (home via parachute from a C17?)
Restricting the rights of citizens to protect themselves, to be mobile and free, and to determine the scope of their own protection (from themselves?) is pretty sacred. Hopefully we get elected officials in power that can balance the security of the state vs the freedom of the citizens.
