the jeep will crank for way to long before it starts, has fuel pressure new cps does it have a cut off for oil pressure? any ideas would be cool.

No oil pressure cut-off. Many of the XJ's suffer from long crank times. Sometimes a check valve in the tank goes bad, allowing fuel pressure to bleed off. I installed an in-line check valve, seems to help somewhat.
Mine does the same thing. I haven't solved it yet but I read some posts about indexing the distributor. If it is one tooth advanced, it is supposed to start hard but run well. I am going to try indexing the distributor this weekend.
