Harbor Freight welding helmet

I wouldnt use wedling helemt from Harbor Frieght. Comes from China who knows if they are really up to par as they say. I would find a Huntsman brand one or Jackson are pretty much top of the line. Miller helemets also but those are big bucks.

Works pretty decent.

Only neg about it does not have a spot weld mode. But you get what you pay for.

Worked great when welding up my floor pans and building a XJ rear bumper for my little brother, IMO it is worth the coin.

Now if I was a professional welder I would buy a nice top dollar one, but as a hobbyist Jeep welder the HF auto-helmet is fine.

I have a Jackson wide screen, and my brother has the Jackson narrow screen Auto Darkener great helmets, got the gold lense on mine so I can see somewhat before I strike and arc.

They work fine for a while but then they fail and you can't see through them wheather you're welding or not.
For occasional use they are o.k. but for serious use you're better off spending your money on a nicer product.

I have the plain jane version of the same helmet, also from harbor freight. Mine has no batteries. Pretty handy compared to a regular helmet.

I also use it for occasional use.

My dad got one for me when I got a welder, I was skeptical at first, but its been working great for over a year.

Have one of the NorthernTool ones and a Harbor Freight, been using them for over a year, no probs. Not a Miller but it serves the purpose.
Customer Service (NorthernTool) left a little to be desired, but I could have caught on them on a bad day.
