Just wondering If anyone is going to Hank's jamboree in Mendota August 18th & 19th? Truck show, mud bogs, tuff truck competition, etc. Good show and lots of fun! About 2 hrs west of Chicago. www.hanks4x4.com
It was basically the old Peterson's 4wd Fun Fest they used to hold in Sandwich.
Just without the quantity/quality of vendors and a WHOLE lot more hillbillies. More cousin-lovers than you could shake a stick at. And enough PBR-fueled bravado to get someone killed.
But watching some idiot smash his piece of crap apart in the Tuff-Truck competition is always good for a laugh.

Okay, if we're gonna de-rail this thread let's do it right! TOP TEN REASONS TO MARRY YOUR COUSIN...(1) Good chance she won't have to change her last name... (2) Easy to decide who's relatives to spend holidays with...(3) she has a bigger trailer than you... (4) Her daddy's got the best hunting land in the county...(5) Her truck has bigger tires than yours...(6) She has a really good job...and the rash from the pole is almost completely gone now... (7) Just bought a new bass boat with her "settlement" money (refer to # 6)...(8) Her brother told you she's a "real good kisser"... (9) Won the wet t-shirt contest at the family reunion...(10) Kids should be fine...because she's not really sure who's her daddy is anyhow...
Hank's 4x4,,,, is about as organised as it was the first year. I hadn't been in a while and was very dissapointed. True, it was rainy, but they delayed 2 hours because of the rain, but then when they realised it would interupt the tractor pulls, the dirt races went in the rain. They shoulda done that in the first place.
