Half doors

Ok so i finally got down to business with building my half doors tonight. Got them cut and the inner door skins welded on. im waiting to get a door handle for the inside hooked up before i weld up the armrest and i need to get some 3in exahust tubing to make some cupholders.
Here are some pics of the progress.

I am going to have my buddy make me some canvas button on windows Like these

with a zipper built into the window so you can attach them from the inside if needed. More pics to come as soon as i have more progress.

nice work! are the edges sharp? I went with the same design, turned out great, I have yet to add inner handles and soda can holders

So far i love the KM2's. Nice soft ride and supper quiet on the street, unlike my previous MTR's which were loud as hell and handled like a tank.

did you strip off the handle and latch before you cut and welded or leave it in?

ok so i finished fabing and welding on the half doors tonight and all thats left is to sand and paint. i made my cup holders out of 3in exhaust tube and since i havent had time to look for a door handle for the inside, i just made my own. All i did was cut a slot on the inside of the door pannel and bent the existing conecting rod so that it fit through the slot so all you have to do is just hook your finger through the loop and pull. it kind of getto but it works and i didnt have to spend any more money on parts, not to mention it keeps it simple.
