Ok its not that bad, at least it comes w/ a manual transmission standard. But doesn't it have push button 4wd and IFS? And torsion bars...yuck.

PLEASE dont call H 1-2 or 3's a Hummer. They AINT a real Hummer.

the H1 was a better vehicle i think then the H2... better ground clearance and quality... and it wasnt built for really rich Soccer moms but our troops. still too big for many real Jeep trails.

h1 does also refer to the Humvee right? maybe I'm wrong but I was assuming that the military vehicle and the Hummer H1 were close to identical... i think ive become lost now.

Aside from the HMMWV having an M16 mount, no doors or ceiling, chemical agent resistant paint, the H1 has the civilian interior, collision and stupid automatic driving crap like traction control and abs that the mil version does not. Also doesn't the HMMWV only use the GMC 6.5l natural aspiration diesel while the H1 came w/ others like a turbodiesel, 8.x diesel and most importantly a gasoline v8.

Hopefully it won't sway too many from a Grand Cherokee.
It has the new GM I-5 in it. I wonder how that engine is in the long term.

I think they would have been better off putting the 4.2 I6 from the trailblazer in it.

I saw an H3 in person and thought it looked pretty nice. I hate the H2 its just ugly. The H3 looks like you could actually wheel it. The major problem is price. They start in the neighborhood of 30,000. I don't like the IFS either but its impossible to find something with out it.... even jeep is going that way. I think they beat Jeep to the next XJ. I can only imagine this thing will be driven by every want-a-be wheeler.
