Looks like I'll have to dig through the Archives to find other stuff we may find handy.
The problem with "banning" guns outright is simple - the information to make them is already out there (firearms, ammunition, ...) and you've never been able to tuck a bugle call back into a bugle. What started out as the work of geniuses and engineers has become the work of tradesmen and craftsmen to reproduce - we have the advantage of
knowing it can be done already. So, why design something new if we can copy something proven?
I'm sure I have prints for an AR-15 lower made from plate stock around here somewhere - it may look ugly, but it
works - which is the important bit. And, I'm sure I have ordnance prints for most issue small arms floating around here somewhere - current and obsolete (bear in mind that most issue small arms - particularly the former Eastern Bloc stuff - are designed to be easy to manufacture so they can be reliably made in a hurry. Hell, the primary receiver for an AK is made from folded heavy-gage sheet steel!)
