Got 600 bux to burn.. Would you buy this?

Been doing well out here on the east. You wouldn't even know were in a recession... We're in this cool town called Charlottesville now. It's where UVA is. People spending money like it's nothing.

And you're wanting to move back here?

And honestly the economy here is better than Texas. I'm doing much better here than back in Texas. Idk if I'd really call it economy though. Probably just my line of work. I'm sure peach and Jacobs would tell ya being a auto service tech has its ups and downs.

isnt that the truth!
3 weeks ago i was doing all kinds of work.
past week has been so dead the managers of the parts stores in our area have been coming around asking why noone is ordering anything and offering incentives to order whatever we can from them. motor city area has been dead......
hope it picks back up soon

It's the type of work. The company I work for had a record year last year and I've been so busy, I don't know which way is up.

I would think u could sell it for 1000 easy on cl if u cleaned it up/ made it run well. Prob take over 4hundo to do that though

Don't buy it. I want it.

That should make you nervous right there, Surf. Save it, or better yet, buy some yellow metal and then you'll have more $$ to "blow" shortly. Do NOT buy the rusty waggy, you have neither the time, patience, money nor skills to deal with the never ending issues a FSJ will provide.:sunshine:

Nope. Were staying in VA. Wife finally likes it here now that she got a nursing job and is set up to go back to school soon. I grew up here on the east and never realized how much I missed the trees here. VA is actually a cool state. Beach and mountains. Big cities and open country. Its definitely growing on me.

"mountains" are all relative. I remember taking some college friends to Vail for the first time, some of them from Appalachia, one from Vermont -- they freaked and the size and scope of the rockies. That redefined the term "mountains" for them.

i cant wait to go to Alaska this summer, thats gonna be a real kick in the pants!

so you say this week, bro. :eyes::peace:

I know i know... but this place has grown on me. Now that we are not in the DC Metro area, we both like it a lot. I live in a town that was founded in the 1700's, and our townhouse was built in the early 1900's. We have one WalMart on the north side of town that is rarely busy. Home Depot doesnt exist here, only small mom and pop hardware stores. The downtown "mall" is a 3/4 mile strip of small, locally owned businesses and restaurants. Its a real local scene here, and everyone seems to have pride in their town. It is also VERY VERY small business friendly.

I guess its just a fresh sight to find a town where big business doesnt rule. Where you can still go get a bite to eat and have decent service because the OWNER is serving you. Thats one thing I disliked about colorado, is lack of culture. Not knocking Colorado, but you cant lie to me and tell me that most of the denver/COS area arent littered with strip malls and fast food/chain restaurants. I prefer seeing my dollars stay in the town I live, and here, I feel thats the case.

Jeezus, I should be a spokesperson for Charlottesville, VA haha
