I am looking to pick up something along the lines of the Hobart 140 within the next few days so I was hoping someone might have a cheap place.

Looking to spend around 600 and do 1/4".

Anyone got the hook up?

Just chillen, I have been worried about getting laid off but now I am working 7 days a week. Figures that would happen. Getting married in October so I am buying some toys while I can, lol.

I gave you a call but didn't leave a message. I have crappy cell service at my place so pm's might work better, lol.

I'm in the same boat, but looking for a Millermatic 211. So far, cheapest place I've found is Airgas. Not sure if they carry Hobart or not.

i spent $640 on my Hobart 187 from Amazon... You can buy Hobart at your local tractor supply..

Damn it. I was in process of ordering the Miller180 on Grainger's website and the price reverted back to the original $1181.00 price at checkout! I called customer service and they processed the order at the "sale" price. They said the sale price was probably a misprint. Final price with tax and shipping was a little over $500. A screamin' deal. I hope my order goes thru!

I'd buy from your local weld shop, honestly. There will come a day when you need them to help solve a problem. Amazon can't do that.

Just food for thought, but I bought a Hobart Ironman 210 in near new condition (still had a year of warranty) with gas bottle and a autodark helmet for $800 even. Craigslist.

Also, I just made a deal on a Hobart 140 for $300 on Craigslist - no bottle, cart, or accessories but the thing is brand new in a box. I'm buying it to have a 110v welder on hand that will run off my generator. I've heard they are excellent machines.

I don't think the Granger Miller 180 includes the gun, hose, cable or clamp...

Why didn't you buy the Hobart 210 and 140 from your LWS? There will come a day when you need them to help solve a problem. Craigslist can't do that. :)

Ordered that 180 from grainger, awesome deal.

Came to 435 shipped to the store down the street.

That units retail is over 1100$!!!

nice little welder. how many do you think they had to sell at that price before they found the mix up? looks like the sale was supposed to be that china made wire feeder. good score to those who got in on the deal with the miller.

After reading the latest rumblings on the Pirate thread, I called Grainger. Sure enough, the rep said this pricing was a mistake and he *thinks* all orders will be cancelled. He said they received over 400 orders in the last day. I'll wait and see, but highly doubtful about actually receiving one at this price.

If it's too good to be true...
