I live near DU in Denver. I am hoping to fix my Spider Gear in my Front axle this weekend. 5/4 - 5-6. I am good with tools but would love some help fixing my rig. I am willing to pay some for services.
Let me know.

If you dont want to/cant help do you know a good mechanic in Denver I can trust for a good price?

My Fiance goes in for knee surgery friday so depending on how lucid she is the following couple days I could be free.

What exactly are you looking to get done? Always good to have all of the tools you need to get a job done on hand, not that it ever works out that way. I'm in Lakewood so if you're near DU you aren't that far.

I am opening my differential to inspect it. I think I have a broken ring gear or a broken spider gear. I need to determine what the problem is and than fix it depending. Any help this weekend or next weekend would be great. I am planning on opening the differential tomorrow (thursday) night. Hopefully than I will be able to know exactly what the problem is. I will post when I know and any help fixing it would be great. Thanks all

I found a chipped spider gear. However, it is only minorly chipped. The ring gear looked fine but i couldnt see the back side of either gear. Any help replacing the ring gear and/or possible installing an aussie automatic front locker. let me know

Spiders are easy enough to replace but the Ring and Pinion are precicely machined sets. If you replace one you must replace the other and now you're talking pretty major work. Usually if a ring or pinion needs to be replaced you take advantage of a bad situation and regear to deeper gears.

If you're planning to put in an Aussie then no worries on the spider gears since you'll be replacing them with the aussie.
