The bad news:
The Snow Run to Holler Pass was too much for my weak tranny. It got me home but failed shortly after.

The good news:

HARDS91XJ was able to hook me up with his friend George who happened to have a used one that appeared to be freshly rebuilt. Thanks Howard

AVANTEONE took my sick XJ into his shop and within a day had the tranny R&R'd and my well used XJ back on the off road. Everything works better than before and I am extremely satisfied. I highly reccommend his shop and he will be getting more of my repair and add on goody work as needed. Thanks John.

Glad to here that all worked out.
Well another friend told me he was having tranny problems. He took his to an AMMCO shop ,got it back and isn`t happy with the service ,his wife took it back today for something that wasn`t wright , for $ 2000.00 it should be okay now.

My total cost was $200 for the tranny, 500 and change for the R&R including new engine and tranny seals and some improvements to line and linkage location. I'm happy. :-)

I almost forgot. Fluid and filter too. Drove it to Olympia, played at Rock Candy for awhile, and back to Milton. All seems ok.
front rear end might be getting a bit sloppy , however. Looks like another hit to the recreation fund coming up. I guess George may get to tell me more truckin lies soon. :-)
