I found the proverbial hen's tooth, an intact fan shroud on a 35 year old truck. I forget how much re-pops cost, but I don't own one. LOL

I also was able to pick up assorted hardware, literally. Found the AC delete YELLAHEEP just asked about. After coming up bust for the last few trips, it's nice to get some odds and ends rounded up.

If you want anything off a square-headlight heep, you better get there quick.

Did Yella ever get with you on that ac bypass? I like to look at it and get some reverse engineering on it...................... ;)

I need to give the front end a closer look, I'm going through parts waaaaay to fast. So I find a heep with the LCAs removed. I picked up the bolts, grabbed the caster shims. Found a set of those coveted hood vents. Found the AC delete for Yella. Found a newer unit bearing for the XJ. I also had a wish list from a couple more forum buddies.

I was hopping from row to row so fast I didn't pay attention to the year break on the unit bearing. Brought home a really nice one for an '84 to '89. :mad:

It has not changed hands yet. I'm hoping to get the XJ to a warm, dry place after work. Maybe you can get with me then.
 
your hobby is junkyarding too? Here I thought I was the only one that found a day at the junkyard relaxing... a yj is a pretty rare find around here - especially one that looks relatively straight.

If your out and about and happen to see a 97+ xj with the unpainted black fender flares still on it I've been looking for months now for the right (passenger) rear - PM me, Grab it, or Call me.... Please! The last 2 times I've been to pull 'n save they had a dark blue xj but the flares were already pulled, they had another one behind the fence but said I had to wait until they put it in the yard, which could be.... who knows when. None of the other u-pull yards ever seem to get the 97+ cherokee?!?!
 
I haven't seen many newer heeps lately. Last year I saw a few, they were wrecked, and worthwhile body parts went quick. You'll have to PM a phone number to me.

What part of Denver do you live in?
