2003 Bushmaster, less than 100 rnds then long term stored. A4 optioned, (4) 30 rnd mags used, (8) 30 rnd mags new in boxes, Matech BUIS flip up rear sight, 14" nato barrel, 2" unknown brand compensator/suppressor, collapsible stock........

Looked last night, couldn't find the maker of this flash suppressor/compensator. He bought it in '03 so I suppose it could be a discontinued product...... but it sure looks nice.

The guy that sold it to me is a 1st Sgt in the Army (Infantry) and just got stateside for an 18 week leave from Afghanistan - dude's seen some action - I suppose that's where the 4 "retired" magazines came from....... :laugh3:

Y'all would hate me for saying what I paid for this nice set up......... :D

She's a sexy bitch ain't she? :loveu:

Thanks for the sweet deal Carl....... keep your head down when you go back - and return safely to a grateful nation! :patriot:

Sweet like candy! :peace:

I wouldn't mind picking up an Ar-15, last toy was an G-3/HK-91.

Between my Dad and myself we have managed to get some nice ones before the last big import restrictions including a FN-FAL. My Dad was lucky and picked up his Colt AR-15 Heavy barrel right before Colt stopped making civilian versions.

I'd love something like that, just very cash poor at the moment.

From experience I would take the AK over anything else. a real 3rd world proof gun, drop it, kick it, bury it, and it will still work for years to come.

Most 1st world guns will jam if you look at them wrong.

I carried a R5 (folding stock version of the Israeli Galil) for many years. Light, cheap (relative) ammo, and almost 3rd world proof. Only downside was the 5.56 round with a smooth bore. Did not pack the punch of an R1 (South African version of the Belgian FN)

That's a seksy AK there Jeff! I dig the re-finish!

Now I just need to see if I can find a small (narrow) gun safe......

Not yet!!! I'm not ready! :twak:

I have a purchased a stripped lower and 8 mags, still saving for the rest.
It sounds like there is 8-12 week backorders on a lot of parts / kits.

Oh well, I have an SKS in the mean time.

Cheers,

The lower is the part that is actually considered the gun. Nothing else that makes a AR-15 requires a FFL to purchase. So if you already have the lower, you are all set.

Yeah, I am trying to keep on top of it / play it safe. I should be able to order the rest of it before the end of the year.

Get 'em while you can folks!:o

Do like we did.............build a room that was secure and hidden :gag:

Makes storing all the toys easier :spin1:

I like that AK as well................. what brand is that?

I'm ready as well...

Gun show this weekend in Houston. I think I'll pick up a new grip, and a peg for the front.

Sure wish I had that Bushmaster. I just couldn't bring myself to spend 3 times the price of the crappy old AK47.

Muzzle brake is an old Bushmaster Mini Y-Comp. This rifle is likely an early "post-ban" model, sold during the Assault Weapons Ban (1994-2004?) Note the lack of bayonet lug. IIRC, the brake is permanently attached (not threaded).

I'm ready as well...

For the mutant Zombie invasion?

Who is ready for the Zombie infestation? ...........see how likely you will survive.

Take the quiz

I am only 22% likely to survive :( ...........(thats cause I am not close to my weapons and I am too close to major traffic areas......)
