GM Factory Locker

what years did they start putting factory lockers in GM Trucks? I know the new Z71s have them and a buddy had a 2005 3/4 ton with a factory lcoker, but how far back does it date?

99 if memory serves. that's for the stupid eaton one with the flywaits and crap... worst locker ever designed. mostly becuase it's not a true locker, with enough power, you can spin them, just like an lsd.

Known as a Gov-Lock.....takes a bit of wheel spin to lock up (not a good thing) and have been known to gernade and.......it's not really a locker but, a L/S with, the above mentioned, fly weights to put pressure on the clutch pack.
