Gilmer, Tx., Barnwell Mountain trip planed for Dec. 1st through the 4th. I will be in the red 2 dr xj with 36'' tsl's. So far there are 10-15 people going from the dfw area. Anyone is obviously welcome. Hope to see you there. PM me if you can come and I will give you some more details on the trip. Go to their website, http://www.texasmotorizedtrails.com/ and click on Off-Road Areas and there you will find directions, fees, and information on the park.

Don't be :rattle: . I have at least ten other guys going to camp. There will probably be three very capable rigs, including mine, most of what is going out there will be stock or slightly modified though. I even have some friends going to ride thier motorcycles. The wheeling will warm you up during the day and the alcohol at knight.

I don't have any doors or windows in mine. I can put them on but most likely won't. :bs: Besides, it is Texas. How cold can it get? 20 degrees. :flame: That's nothing, dress for the occasion. Are you going or what? Judging from your responses, that would be a NO.

depending on whats going on with my jeep(if i get new stuff to test out) i might make it.

If anyone decides to go, pm me and let me know when you will be there. I will look for you if you give me a desctription of your rig. We will most likely be at the Lone Star Camp, furthest camp in the park.

You guys are more than welcome to join us there for the weekend if, you can find a spot to pitch a tent. I do not think that that will be an issue. Let me know. Thanks, Sam

Ramsey, thanks for not being a :rattle: unlike some others that have posted. LOL Chris and Mark, hope that you don't let the weather be a factor for you, it just adds to the expierience.

My rig won't make it to the far camp, too rough of wheeling!

I can't sleep if the temp is below 65.

Mark it is all flat to the far camp. You can trailer your junk down there in a 2 wd pickup. As fas as the temp, we will have to wait and see. Come on.

Weather isnt an issue, shit ill be sitting and walking in below 30 temps in camo while im still hunting. id love to go but i pay $1000/yr to hunt maybe 3 xs a yr so i doubt ill be missing out on it. Got a nice mulie and whitetail last yr and looking forward to uping the score.

wouldnt old camp be further?

Ramsey, what are the chances that you might make it? I do not see Old Camp on thier web site. Where is it at in comparison to Lone Star Camp. The other far camp Is Eco Camp, which just might be further than Lone Star Camp from the entrance.

The only reason I suggested Lone Star Camp is because it may provide somewhat of a wind block. If I remember correctly it is at the bottom of the "mountain'' in a "valley".

Mike, I would not pass up hunting if I had already invested in it for the season either. Good Luck!

decent chance. depends on how bad i need a fix;) old camp is all the way at the end of the road nearly. down in a bottom surrounded by trees. we usually camp there. if you go down jeep eater its where it comes out at.

They must have change the name of it. According to the map of the park the name is now Lone Star Camp at the bottom of Jeep Eater. So, I know you know how to get there so hopefully you can make it.

I do not under stand this post then. I assumed you didn't have a 2wd pick up I was just using it as a reference as to how eay it is to get to the camp.

Why wouldn't you be able to make to the far camp, or are you JK?

Me joke?

No way!

Yes I have just been messing around.
My rig is to big to get to far camp. It will only go to the electrical hook up camp and then it takes a long time to get there.

If I get really bored I might show up, but if it is cold and fuel prices haven't dropped I won't be there.

Mark, I think we are on the same page now. I thought when you were talking about your rig you meant your xj. I now know you meant your camper. At any rate, pm me if you can come. If it is nice enough you can stay in a tent or something. Sam

If anyone else decides to show pm me so I can look for your prior to that weekend.
