well i finally started the axle swap...

got lucky and found a donor at the yard today, snatched the master, booster and prop valve from a '96.

pulled the axles out to clean up and paint...going to Ruff Stuff tommorow to get the front cover, got lucky because Dan said they have 1 left for the next 2 weeks! im going to pick up some shock tabs and weld them up out of the way.

went up to Ruff stuff today and got a pretty chunky deal on the cover and some shock brackets. there nice guys up there! cool shop and friendly aptmosphere.

yeah i went with red again since my oil pan and valve cover are the same color...im pretty bored lol.. headed to the yard to grab a steering collumn since i lost all my lights lastnight..its been loose for way to long.

yeh its cool Jon your good people, it would have been nice to save a few bucks since the column i got has no keys...bummer!
 
hey sean i had a loose column in my 87 and didn't feel like dealing with it. i found a chevy hot rod shop pass the picknpull on surise who'll do it for 100 bucks.
 
thanks Mike, funds are limited on unemplyment so i pulled it myselfand swapped them... you still goin up for the 4th? thats what im gettin this done for now.
 
yeah i'm still planning on going. I got like 8 rigs i'll be with. My cage and rock rails are finished now im installing the 4.88's and a spool on tuesday. I'll probably be doorless. Looks like we both have a lot of work to do in 10 days. giddiup

got my lines bent up and ready to double flare today and got the column in.. its fathers day im done.. headed to enjoy the rest of the day

axles on the front lawn...i should have done that just before i almost got kicked out of my last hoa, that'd been hilarious. looking good sean. Can you put some pics up of your front and rear trim job? they look clean

look at my lawn! its hammered, wonder why haha!....yeah i havea pic i found that shows the lines kinda... i use an angle grinder with one of my diamond blades for granite, it cuts like butter and i cut everything on my trucks with it. i put some soft plastic door trim along the lines to keep it safe, on the rear i just cut and folded it..i will take some pics

not perfect but it works, you can see a few small relief cuts from me cuttin just a little high.

i really could'nt tell you, im sure they do?..i got all mine from work. they cost about 120 a piece, yeah there not cheap! but well worth it, i have used mine for 2 years.
