States that require tire tread to be covered by fenders, SUCK! I'm in jersey and was wondering how those, that are so lucky to live in such states, deal with this problem. Or do you just cross your fingers and hope cops dont pull you over? Also, tires not covered by tread would most likely never pass jersey inspection.

NJ actually has very reasonable lift inspection laws compared to other states...I'm pretty sure I'll run into some difficulty this November though.

That's why I like TN. If it has tires and a steering wheel you can drive it. I've even seen people driving sitting on old milk crates! The local cops smile and wave when they see my trail rig with no doors, no mirrors, and a busted taillight....needless to say no flares.

Just get some garden edging....and put it up there for inspection. You HAVE to make it look it like stays though. They caught on to people who put this stuff on and rip it off 3 hours later 
Screw it in or something. After inspetion, go home and take them off until the next time! My old TJ has LTBs that stuck out about 2.5 inches maybe even 3. I live in the worst COP town in Medford and NEVER got pulle dover for that. i got pulled over for speeding and the cop mentioned it, but no ticket.

Not only custom LED tails, all other lights broken!
I'm in Canada however Cops here think it's cool. They really dislike ricers
