getting a junkyard alternator

That post mentions Denso 7913 from 98+ Grand Cherokee's.

I found a Denso alternator from Craigslist from a 95 Grand Cherokee Limited that is a 7912. How many amps is this alternator, does anybody know?

Pretty sure the wiring is different from the Renix on the HO units. When doing my motor swap I had to keep the Renix alt. I had gotten a 100A lifetime warranted unit from I believe autozone.

Renix also has an internal voltage regulator in the alternator where as OBD1 and OBD2 have the voltage regulators built into the PCM's. Entirely different. Althoug you could use a post renix alternator in a renix rig if you used an aftermarket external voltage regulator.
