Gettin inked...

Pain

Depends. Where you gettin it done? black or color?

Starts off the pain is very noticable, bunch of needles poking into your skin, but after a while it fades and is not that bad at all. Then it gets addicting. One wont be enough.

Inside of my upper left arm. Part black/grey, part color.
Oh I know, I already have plans for a few others when the time comes lol.

On Friday. First time. What should I expect?
...to look at it every day for the rest of your life.

Maybe that is why I don't have any. :)

So what are you getting???

Your inner arm is a very sensitive spot. it is going to hurt like hell.

stomach, inner leg, inner arm and neck are the worst places to get them done.

Lol I'm past that point, I've already decided on it after a month and a half of thinkin about it, and I know its permanent.
Its the Join or Die snake in the colors around an M4 and a quote above and below. I'm not too good at explaining things but I'll post up a pic when its done.

Yeah, that's what I've been hearing. I might take a muscle relaxer before hand to dull it.

What you need to find is something with lydacaine (sp?) maybe oraljel. rub it on heavily, then cover with saran wrap (about half hour before you go). that will numb the area.

Good idea. Although doesn't that stuff thin out the blood? Cause that'd be bad... that's why they say no Advil or alcohol or similar before tattoos, they thin your blood.

Do not be a wuss and numb where your gettin your ink. It really doenst hurt as bad as you think it will then you get used to it. I am finally gonna be getting mine finished on Saturday or sunday

the product may, but the lydocaine doesnt. plus you will be using it externally. its used extensively in tatoo removal when lasers are involved.

Get a tat unless it has deep personal meaning that you and those around you can understand and live with till your time on this planet is over.

I've got two and that's more than enough. (USMC 80-84)

It does. Its not just something I think looks cool, trust me. I've been thinking about this for quite a while. If those around me don't understand that's fine, its not about them, IMO.

And as far as numbing it goes... if I have to just go and do it that's fine, but I don't see a logical reason not to dull the pain if its easy and cheap to do, which it is.

I have four. Thinking of two more. All of them have a meaning/reason for being done. IMO if the tat is something memorable then it will look good. skulls and demons are fine too, if your lifestyle is concurrent with it.
tribals IMO are crap. someone got one done and then it became a fad. wrong reason to get a tat done.

also, need to think about how it will look when you are 60. skin sags and that hot female body tat turns into granny moses at 60.

Got a prescription for those muscle relaxers?

Inner arm was quite a bit more sensitive than any of my other ink. Inner arm was like getting a Tat while having a really bad sunburn, if that makes sense.

Fair enough.

Just don't be this guy, okay?
