Has anyone used or heard about G2 axles. Was talking to a place today about swapping gears and he suggested putting on a G2 axle in the rear since I have the Dana 30.

Re-explain, you have a D30 in front but what do you have in the rear, a D35?

Then I would just replace the entire axle and don't invest anything in a D35.

it will cost more for the g2 option, but not that much all things considered. you can pick up an 8.25 or 8.8 fairly cheap and have it re geared to save some money, though re gearing isnt cheap.
if you did a G2 axle you could go D44, thats pretty sweet if your liking the idea of buying one.

I have a G2 D44 in the front of my XJ - it is a great beefy front axle!

Thank you, I was thinking G2 axles front and rear. Figured it would be cheaper in the long run.
