FYI windshield prices

This is just an FYI for windshield prices.

Had the '88 windshield replaced yesterday.

I called Safelite and they wanted $172 + tax
I called Elite and they wanted $179 + tax

I finally found one for $153 TOTAL installed.

that was for mobile service.

I'm sure there's probably a better price out there somewhere.

Thanks for the info as well, I'm betting lots of folks here will be interested. Mine is getting pretty unbearable now. If you DD and make it through the winter without a crack, I would start buying lottery tickets.

I've heard good stuff about Elite though, their glass might be a little closer to oem quality. Anyone confirm/deny?
