I have an NP231 with the Hack and tap style SYE and the matching flange. I ran this on my jeep for about 3 months(?) while I built my original back up. It worked fine, shifts in and out of gears, doesn't pop out, etc. It leaks a little out the back seal, I suppose I would replace the seal if you are going to use it on a more permanent basis than I did. I ran it at JV with no problems...although I didn't go very far before breaking an axle 
It has the 23? spline input to mate with the newer AW4's, 97 and up? Anyway, I would like to sell it locally and can bring it to Calico if someone wants it there.
