Well the time has come for the end(?) of the $650 XJ.
It served me well, drove me to work, to the mountains and to the sea. To the highs and the lows and always got me back home. However due to too many 60+ hour weeks, a 7month old kid and not having any kind of space where I can rebuild a motor.... It is time I must say goodbye to my second XJ.
It has 250k+ on the motor/trans/tcase/body (4.0 renix, aw4, np231 D30 disco) and the front axle, It currently starts and kinda moves however it is missfiring on several cylinders and generally runs like crap.
I have not had time to go in depth to diagnose what the issue is, that comes down to that whole working too much thing and the baby.
It passed smog (not by a lot) last November, is current on registration and has a clean title.
Because of its age and mileage I'm sure it isn't worth much of anything, however it has a Logans winch bumper on the front, and four 1 year old Falken Rocky Mountain ATS (31x10.5x15) tires that have about 7k miles on them. Also has a recently swapped chryco 8.25 in the rear with 3.55 gears and new brakes all around. 3" lift with some saggy Rustys springs and some old bronco lift springs cut and made into the bastard pack of all bastard packs. 3" lift skyjacker pos hydro shocks as well. H4 light harness also installed.
Also has a gas tank skid and tcase skid that are not installed, and oem rear tire carrier that has seen some better days.
I'd love to sell it to someone to part out, or who wanted a shell to start a project with.
Asking $500 obo.
I can't part this thing out. (no space, although i'd be willing to swap out the wheels and tires if someone has some rollers I can stick on this thing.)
