1998 XJ Limited 249xxx miles
4.0
Auto
NP242 transfer case
D30/C8.25 axles
2" BB lift (spring spacers and shackle)
Bought this jeep 5 years ago with 230k on it, mostly hwy miles. Changed all the fluids when I got it, engine, trans, t case, both diffs. Its a 3rd vehicle for my family and just doesn't get used since I sold the Jetskis and don't need a tow vehicle anymore.
The Good:
New radiator - never overheated old one just leaked a little
New front brakes - pads and rotors
New O2 sensor
Body is very clean
Still gets 17 mpg mixed driving
The Bad:
Needs tires - has 31x10.5x15 that are pretty much done.
No AC - everything works but has a small leak. A charge only lasts 2 months.
Rear springs sag
muffler is pretty rusty and staring to get loud
is throwing a CEL for the PRNDL switch - I put in a used one because the original broke when I took it off. I just can't seem to get it adjusted right so the back up lights work and the CEL goes off.
