I know this is a Jeep forum, but I thought perhaps someone might be interested in this.
This is a 1981 Winnebago Brave motorhome. It is 27' long, has rear bunk beds, fold down table which can sleep one or two, a fold out couch which sleeps one or two, and a pull down bed over the driver's seat that sleeps one or two. It is built on a Chevy base with a 454 engine. It has a rebuilt transmission with barely 100 miles on it since rebuild. The interior is quite clean and the engine runs fine, just needs new belts and hoses. Overall in pretty good condition considering it has been around 22 years. The roof does not leak and while the paint is faded and there are a few dings it's almost totally rust free. It has the usual amenities, sink, shower, A/C and heat, automatic transmission, awning, and various jacks, levelers, and ramps go with it as does a remote sewage tank and both front tires are brand new.
Things that need attention on it:
The water heater tank needs to be replaced. It has a major leak and is currently bypassed. The stove works fine though; we just boiled water for food on that. Showers you'd need to have it replaced if you wanted hot water though. Generator did work, doesn't start now. No big deal, probably just a problem with the electric starter on it.
I am willing to drive up to three hours to meet someone half-way or something with this. It is currently in storage in Mt. Morris, IL and I live in Rockford, IL. Zip code for reference is 61104. I have all the original manuals and can give you more details if needed.
I am looking for $4500 OBO on this, pics on request.
