Bob Villa doesn't have squat on me. Every wall in the house used to be white and the tile around the fireplace was cream colored and it even had gold designs too. Pretty sheik really...back in the day. Here we go:

This is what the fireplace used to look like:

Here's some pics of the house when we did the walk through:

Here it is now with new slate, paint, and the mantle lowered:

I even did laminate flooring in the downstairs. Not much else to do with all this snow.

Looking good. How tall are your ceilings? They look tall as hell.

Thanks Mingo. The ceilings are tall at about 15 feet.

Thank you. We've done quite a bit of work this past week. There's a small area (4'x4') when you walk in the front door that was linoleum and we had some of the flooring you see in the pics left so I went ahead and put that in. We are planning on doing that in the washroom that's in the basement. We just need to order more of it. The rest of the plans are to replace the appliances in the kitchen with stainless when we can afford/they kick the bucket and do something cool with the counter tops (probably a granite b/c it's tough to upset a potential buyer with that stuff). It's been fun...I love doing this stuff.

It's tough to tell but the walls where the fireplace is set in are actually a chocolate color and not the shade of green that the main room is.

Looking good, Chris! Like the red kitchen.

Ok, I am diggin the lunch pales! Mickey, Burt n Ernie, and Hot Wheels, I can't quite make out the closest one?

Ahhhh yes....the lunch boxes. Heather collects them. The one you can't make out is Transformers. We have about 30 of those things. Hong Kong Phooey, Rough Rider, 18 Wheeler, Archie and the gang.

I don't quite get it but that's OK. Some of those things are worth a pretty penny on ebay. She also has boxes of old toys packed away.

wow! looks really nice!
