hey everyone,
I have a 95 xj 4 door sport that just recently got retired :(... My question is. I am considering purchasing a wrecked xj 98 or so and carrying all the good parts off of my 95(fenders are in great shape as to many deer strike repairs)(. My question is up to what years are the fenders and grille's compatable? and what about the hatch? i know they look different on the newer models than my 95 but would the older one still fit? (looking funny is not a big problem now as i need somthing to tow my boat)
any info would help
Also i know this probably not the correct place to put this but i have a borla header on the 95 and i believe that when it was purchased it was only marked as being for up to a 97? is that true or will it fit?
thanks

97 and up uses a different front clip. The older front clip should bolt on, if you change fenders, header, etc. The fenders and header parts are available aftermarket pretty cheap. I'd stick to the new style clip if it was me though. The hatches are completely different as well as the way they are attached.

I was just think along these same lines as my front clip is beat to snot and is beyond repairing. I've been contemplating whether or not I could swap the clip from a 97+ onto my 96. I like the look and if I'm gonna be changing the whole front clip anyways, might as well take it a little further.
