free intake upgrade..

this is pretty simple and im not sure if anyone has posted this, but it can be done on almost any modern car.

all you gotta do is remove the sound baffle on your stock intake and it will add a couple horses take off the rubber portion of the intake from the filter box and there is a plastic ring that restricts air-flow, when removed it allows more air to flow into the intake more easily.. pretty simple and can be done in around 60 seconds

The problem with this is that you loose the purge capability of the crankcase vapors and you can end up plugging up the vent system. Also lots of engines turn into a big whistle when you do this.

On my 97 the CCV enters into the lid of the airbox, removing the baffle will have no effect on it. I never have taken that out, the airbox is about the only stock thing I have left lol. Maybe I will try that this weekend.

Curious as to what years had this baffle. My 97 did not.
