Four Corners trails

Going on vacation and I want to know what are some good trails in the 4 Corners area?

Easy and difficult, don't matter. Just need two weeks in the middle of nowhere.

When are you coming to the area? the trails up by Silverton and Ouray won't be open until June, maybe earlier due to light snow this year. I moved down here last year and want to run some of these trails so drop me a line either on here or at [email protected] and we can get lost together :roll: , just kidding.

What sort of rig are you running?

Yo,

I'm coming to the area in early June. Spending two weeks out in the middle of nowhere with my girlfriend Susan. Mesa Verde, Four Corners, Monument Valley, Needles, Black Canyon, etc. Need to get away from work and get outta here.

I have a 85 with 3.5" RE lift, discos, Olympic Rock Winch bumper and stinger with SE9500 Mile Marker winch, new set of 31x10.5 Goodrich All-Terrain tires, Hella lights, roof rack with Hi-Lift Jack, shovel, axe and spare. Side rails. There's other crap but they're just mods to run better.

Hopefully by then I'll have my rack mounted lights and snorkel. Most definately my lights. I'll keep ya posted on when I come. I'm buying a book so I can choose some trails myself.

Dont forget to spend a little time in the San Juans.

Iam going to be in Montrose next week for a wedding.
Looks like there aint gonna be much open.
Word has it that Yankee Boy Basin is expected to open May 15.
Ophir Pass is open from the east (hwy 550) side right now.

But... did not know if they listed trails in that area.
Guess i need to look at the site for more than just

MINNEHAHA (Road 110) –Closed.

Theres some nice trails in Aztec area that are pretty sweet. They call it little Moab since the rock is so nice and grippy.

Might want to look at Aztec wheeling, rockgarden chokecherry, Secret Trail area..
