1990 xj limited, 100k mi, auto w /emerald TQ, 8" skyjacker,4.56 f/r, dana 35 frnt?, 9" rear, detroit's f/r,brand new 35's... $6500.

Is this a good deal?
I wonder about the sky lift, are they tough?
Dana 35 front?

Thats one of the ones in the bay area huh. I saw a bunch of people talking about it else where. No clue if it is a good deal with out going over it with a fine tooth comb. It could be a total hack job and you wont know until you get into it.

It is possible to have a dana 35 front axle. Ford exploders and rangers had them IIRC, and they were ifs.

I would not mail him a check or anything right away.

you could easily build that jeep yourself (assuming you have mechnaical skills) for about that cost and you'll know its done right. Just my personal feel on it.

Hmmm it's kind of old of a vehicle for that $$. I picked up a 97 for about 2/3 of that but it didn't have as much (stock gears and only about 3" suspension). Anyways, with custom built rigs it's hard to put a $$ value to one as it is just a question: how much you're willing to spend to buy a built rig and not worry about the mods. What you might want to do is go check it out, kick the tires and drive it and then give it some thought. Things to look for is any leaks: use them to drive down the price, and I"d be surprised if it didn't have a rear main leak (unless it was taken care of). Also be nitpicky and check for rust and so on. Remeber this price is a negotiating start point: you hit low with a reply and then meet in the middle :P
