Ford 9" Disk Brakes

I was curious if you have the big bearing Ford 9" with drums, what is the best way to convert to disks?

I herd alot of the cars had disk brakes, you just alter the mount if you have too.

I believe certain 9" will take the explorer 8.8 disc brake setup.

I used 8.8 disks from a 98 Explorer. I had to redrill the backing plate holes, drill 5 x 5 1/2 holes in the rotor, and ream the center of the rotor to fit over the center of the axleshafts. It was pretty easy. If I didn't need it to pass inspection I probably would have made something using front calipers, but I needed the e-brake.

I have access to a 96 8.8 with disks. I wonder if that will work?
