1. Busted Cruise Control Vacuum line. That $3 part causes more problems then you would think.
Mine is "spliced" with a short piece of really small rubber hose. I accidentally broke while replacing my battery. Works pretty good. The one under the battery was the real problem though. That one thing killed my cruise control, vents, A/C compressor, and something else which I have forgotten. I wrapped it in hose repair tape and suddenly my cruise worked again, I had more than just defrost settings for my vents, and the A/c started working again.

1. Fix rusted-out floorboard in '87 MJ so I can install the upgraded interior.

2. Return said MJ to driver/wheeler status.

All this to prepare for resuming work on the '97 XJ trailer queen, last touched in 10/03.

I CALL SPOBI! ! !

To many to list. Here is a few of the top of my head:

Change gear lube in front diff.

Change tranny mount.

Get new front driveshaft.

Take care of tranny leak.

Get some side mirrors.

Get 8.8 and rear brakes hooked up.

Make leaf packs to get me about five inches of lift.

And the list could go on. Hopefully I can get the torpedo heater to fire up tonight. Five degrees below zero the past few nights.

Kim.

my highest priority 5

install 97+ axle shafts/LR

install new tie rod/ track bar end/ tie rod flip

Shock extensions

alignment

heat sheild for converter so the interior temps are liveable

The front end stuff will atleast get it more enjoyable for the occasional trip to the parts store..

then i have a boat load of parts to install...

Top 5 reasons mine is junk?

#1, I own it.
#2, I beat the crap out of it
#3, It spends more time on stands than on tires.
#4, Every body panel is dented, even the roof now.
#5, The interior is a complete mess, mud every where.

But it is still my favorite ride!
2X
At some point it becomes like drinking decaff.
Why bother?

If you can figure out what it is, please let me know. I've been chasing this for a couple years with no luck. Okay, only half-ass chasing it.

My wife won't ride with me in the winter anymore because of the cold draft.

I'll certainly let you all know if I ever find it. Unfortunately, I think the only solution is going to be to pull the dashboard and the heater box, something I've resisted doing so far. I thought at one point it might be something behind the fender, and took off the fender, but found nothing. I had thought of trying just to take the interior trim off the roof pillars and see if there's a hole I can use to shoot in some foam.

1- Body swap
2- axleshafts; purchace and install replacement front drivers and slap in new rear alloys
3- re-attach the catback exhaust with something other than a bungee cord ( borla rear hanger broke however their million mile warranty doesnt cover offroad usage and the muffler is merely a lumpy oval)
4- Fab "big boy brackets" into the new body for at least the drivers seat
5-install hack 'n tap sye after 2 years in the garage

hmm what to do, where to start?

1. find and fix source of coolant in oil
2. convert rear d44 drums to discs
3. replace worn out stock motor mounts with rawbrown mounts
4. fix exahust down pipe so it no longer is dented halfway in
5. replace rear wiper arm/motor so i can see out the window when it snows/rains

1.regear axles to 4.10
2.longer frt. shocks
3.longer frt. brale lines
4.31x10.50R15 Swamper Truxus MT's
5.and i need a new motor

Ok, not necessarily in this order........

1. Engine oil leak.. front seal or timing cover?
2. LCA replacement
3. Track bar bushings
4. Finish stereo...should fix all the other rattles.
5. Replace the stock tires they installed when my jeep was stolen (had 32"s). Looks kinda funny with a 3" lift and cut fenders.

Limiting it to five:
1. stupid tiny plastic gear from inside heater - prevents defrost from working properly
2. tires at 1%
3. time for new tie rods and maybe all new steering
4. stereo brutality
5. find and fix 'the rattle'

The rattle is the rear seatback latches.
