My wife won't ride with me in the winter anymore because of the cold draft.

well shes lucky compared to me. ive gotta sit in the back bench of my brothers truck on the way to school with him and his friend both smoking with the windows all the way down, all the <15 degree air blowing straight in my face. Well i guess it doesnt really matter anymore seeing as i have permenantly lost feeling in my face :shiver:

Thank him.
He's just preparing you for winterfest in the buggy.

1. Phantom Smell
2. Replaced fender that's slightly a different shade of blue
3. Stock painted alloys
4. Retreads
5. The engine makes many non-engine like noises.

The whole jeep makes noises and passengers say, are we going to die?

1. damn thing wont let me go wheeling when i want too.

2. every crack has be welded at least twice.....

3. retarded driver

4. retarded fabricator

5. my junk told the 3 voice in my head about 3-4.

1. Intermitent starting problem I can't seem to fix.

2. Hatch does not open properly.

3. Rear pinion seal leak.

4. Adjustable trackbar that dosen't want to stay tight.

5. I drive it...

:repair:

1. Rear main leaks
2.valve cover leaks
3. oil pan leaks
4. reverse lights
5.bad/weak steering
6. unending squeal from serpentine (doesnt matter how it's adjusted)
7. re-work brakes/brake lines /proportioning
8. peeling herc'ed floor

I still like driving it better thany any other vehicle I have owned. :sunshine:

1 oil leaks that get fixed only to find the next weak gasket
2 cracked manifole that i haven't gotten around to fixing for almost a year
3 different colored passenger mirror from my flopover
4 carpet is always wet
5 liftgate shock mount shot so i cant even put new struts on until i feel like taking on a project that is going to take a couple hours that should only take minutes

1. NP231 when there's an Altas in the garage
2. Nasty stock seats when there is a Beard in the guest room and another in the garage
3. "I don't care how it looks, it runs"
4. Taillights zip-tied to rusty tube
5. Fuel pump ground wire vise-gripped to rusty tube

Phil, #5 amazes and scares me.

Hmm...

1. gas gauge is disconnected
2. exhaust is so ghetto its pants are at half staff
3. there is a hole in my floorboards the size of a football in the trunk, if I push the carpet to the side I can see the exhaust pipe and tire
4. oil pan is rusted through on the front of the sump so it drips. Rear main seal is in great shape though.
5. my spare tire is leaned against the stock storage location and held up with a cross braced spare front driveshaft instead of being tied down

1. STILL leaks oil even though valve cover, rear main, oil pan, and oil filter housing gaskets/o-rings have been replaced

2. Starts like a damn RENIX even though it's a 99 thanks to a bad check valve.

3. Latch mechanism on the rear hatch is "fixed" (read adjusted) via zip ties.

4. As fast as I fix one coolant leak, another appears almost instantly.

5. The squeeks and rattles inside make it sound like it's a RENIX.

But, it starts up reliably every time and never ceases to bring a smile to my face and amaze me.

1.fix intermittent fuel leak (only leaks when its clean and then only occasionally) No more leak. But never fixed it. :dunno: works for me
2.nip the tip...off my exhaust pipe so it can stop complaining that the extended shackles are touching it. It dented itself to stay away and then I got .5" shorter boomerangs.
3.figure out why my oil pressure gauge always reads max. This is after 2 oil changes. Doing the next one myself to be sure the filter actually gets changed.Have run numerous bottles of fuel system cleaner and oil additive over the years, gauge started working all of a sudden last year...
4.New rear bumper...damn concrete barricades hiding beneath the rear window...Never got around to fixing that one, but have a JCR tire carrier bumper now
5.New Driver's side tail light housing...damn concrete barricades etc... Still cracked
6.Figure out why my gas mileage dropped, don't smell gas leak currently Know why it's dropped this time...lift and 33s, but still seems lower than what others are getting with similar setups...
7.Fix broken rear wiper sprayer, or not its fun squirtin tailgaters :D Never fixed, but now tire carrier blocks sprayer from hitting tailgaters.
8.get actual lift springs to replace stacked spacers Done. Now I have to reinstall the stock isolators...didn't have them when I installed the new springs and have been to lazy to install since.
9.combine stock leaf packs to lift rear and replace reverse arched original packs Scrapped stock leaf packs (I had two pair at the time I wrote this) and bought RE 3.5" leafs
10.sye, new driveshaft, etc Done
11.install lebaron hood vents bought from casm Done
12.trim fenders Done
13.get matching wheel and spare that at least matches sizewise Done, except stock spare wheeldoesn't match black steelies
14.Find $40 and re-up my expired membership here... Done
My list from 12/05. And what's been taken care of.

Now:
1. Need new shocks mine no longer absorb shocks or damp the ride.
2. Get new zerks for RK joints up front so I can grease them. They're getting noisy(er)
3. Find clunking from front, middle, and rear
4. Get new housings to fit my HIDs.
5. Get new CD player to replace the crappy, ancient $20 junkyard Sony that I got to replace the nice JVC that was stolen.
6. Find source of stank. Pretty sure it's the gear oil I spilled, but I cleaned that up pretty good. Still smells like gear oil though.
7. Maybe find new fenders and retrim using an actual "pattern" to get clearance without crapping up the lines.
8. Strip/sand the paint and redo rattle can paint job with proper prep work.

1. Change front suspension over to leafsprings
2. finish interior....all of it
3. install new axles with wheels and tires
4. actually drive it!
5. drive it some more!

Probably more than my broke ass will get done this year but hey im optimistic.

Yes, changing the front suspension over to leaf springs will make your junk, junk.

:roflmao: You beat me to it!

It simplifies things for me, and is affordable for me unlike the other option.

1. Satin black rattle can paint job
2. Dana 30
3. Oil leaks
4. Over heating issues
5. Not having a long arm kit
6. Etc.

On the plus side its paid off, it runs good, I can beat it a little without worrying to much and parts are cheap for the most part.

Edit: Oh and how could I forget all my steering parts that need to be replaced.
7. Needs new track bar
8. Needs whole new steering
