Here's a few pics of my first trip to Turkey Bay. Actually this was my first trip out with my XJ. Hit some yellows, blues, and even a couple of red trails. Here's a few pics:

Playing in the mud (Not gonna do much of that again......):

Pretty impressed with what this old truck was capable of with a 2 inch budget boost and some tires.:loveu: A few buddies made quite a few comments, and one is looking at a Cherokee for sale here in town now........

Now I'm gonna go clean her up.......

looks good man, still havent been to that part of LBL, but i've always wanted to go

X2 on the mud and not doing that again, lol

looks good, man! what size are those swampers? i was pretty impressed with mine all stock at wooly's when i first got it... do you hook your swaybar up on the road, or just rock without it? i'm debating whether i should even bother putting my jks disconnects on the waggy, or if they'll have the same fate they had on the old jeep- bunjee'd to the subframe 90% of the time... hmmmm. anyway, yours looks good! glad to see ya having fun with it.:D

Yeah we'll get after it if yo can make it this weekend KGP.

Chief the swampers are 31x11.50. I need to bumpstop, trim more, and lift more. I took the swaybar completely out. It gets some nice body roll when cornering (my buddies driving behind me thought it was pretty wild getting onto the interstate clover-leaf).

All in all, it was a good maiden voyage. Had a lot of fun and figured out my next couple of steps on the build.

sweeeeet! i don't have my swaybar hooked up now, but i have the disco's in my shed. i might put 'em on there in case the wifey drives it. you can glue hockey pucks together and make some bumpstops for the cheap cheap, and you can use 79 f100 springs on for 3" of lift and make a bastard pack from s10 springs. mine turned out a little high, but it can be done right for way cheap. all you would want to buy new would prolly be shocks so you know you get good ones.

Just got most of the mud of the outside, gonna wipe the inside down some so I can sit in it without getting dusty......

Hey Chief- sway bar is completely out on the rear, the front is still there, just minus the links.

My bad, Alpha. Was s'posed to be a short day trip with some guys from work, they called me late the night before and said LBL, then I ran into a buddy with a campsite there and he invited me to stay so we had some fun. He introduced me to a couple of his friends. They all had quads so they were scouting for me and letting me know which trails I could run- made life easy for me!!

Going this weekend if you're in man..........

Somewhere on a rocky hill there is a tree that is missing a good chunk of bark from my front bumper smacking it because I hit a rock on the way up tossing me to the left. The only thing I dislike about Turkey Bay is the loose rocks on the hills. Sometimes ya gotta get up a head of steam, and sometimes you get bounced into a tree.

What bumper is that? You must have been moving to bend it like that.

I'm busy this weekend, unfortunately. Gotta do more work on the truck; plus, it's the end of season Fall League tournament.

Yeah Alpha looks like I've got a bit more work to do on my truck anyway. stuff is starting to pop up here and there. I think further cleaning will maybe fix/expose some of the symptoms I have going on.........
