Looks good Matt. I can't wait to see the end product.

Just got home a few minutes ago. Dang I'm tired. We got a lot done this weekend, and everybody who helped out worked great together! Good times everybody!

The black paint needs to curve to follow the flare lines. Other than that, it looks awesome.

Will there be a buildup article in JPFreek?
Yeah, that looks pretty lame, I agree. The full build will be featured in a couple issues of JPF, so I'm going to keep a lot of the better pics saved for journalistic integrity. This is a pretty funny episode, though:

Starts with Jason backing the trailer under the rear of IXNAYXJ ver. 1.0 and giving everyone a heart attack when "slowly" was lost in translation.

Jeremy (Megawatt) jacked up the rear turning the rig into a tripod. A scary as hell tripod.

As Jason backs the trailer under the Jeep, Jeremy pulls the jack and walks backwards. Simply stunning to see it actually working. I think we all aged 10 years from the stress.

Almost there as we all yell "stop" just as Jason kisses the jack stands with the trailer. Keep in mind, Jeremy is all the while pulling and walking the jack back on the trailer. Jeremy, I think you need to change your name from Megawatt to Megapimp.

A few more heart stopping moments as the Jeep lists to one side, then under the yells of "everyone run" the miracle happened. IXNAYXJ Ver 1.0 was on the trailer and we were all alive.

Bidding the old girl a fond farewell...with and axe:

We're 97.25% done, just have to bolt on the 1-ton tie rod, front shocks and then wheels and tires. Should be fully sorted for the Tinkham snow run next Sunday.

HAH i wish i had pics from when i scrapped my 85.

i backed my truck up to the garage. put the lift gate under the front end (rear axle still attached) lifted it up. strapped it to the truck and pulled it across the street and backed it into the culdesac.

i think then IIRC i used the truck just like that to back the jeep onto the trailer.

all by myself of course. always sad to see a jeep go by the wayside

Looks good so far Matt, er ya bring her by so you can show her off here on POST? Er ya still gonna make it for this weekend? Please let me know 'cause Becca is expecting you to see your 'new girl' too!
