First mod and "check engine" light

So, i installed a bored TBS and now the check engine light is on. I would like to remedy this problem without taping over the light. Can i get a anftermarket chip or what can i do to turn the light off?

What year XJ. Did you turn the key on while the sensors were disconnected? You may just try disconnecting the battery for 5 minutes and rechecking it then.

yup, its off now after only like 20min of use. So i assume it was nothing to worry about.
