What's a father to do when he get's shown up by his 17 yr old on the GP track @ DTown? Pretty easy fellers you let em spread his wings and sore like an eagle! Andrew showing Chucky he could indeed sore! 20 laps for us on the GP track. I tested the setup out and made a few myself and then threw the boy the keys.

A HUGE thanks to Andy at Ironman4x4fab.com for his superbly built aluminum upgrade to the Currie drag link setup. Far better than the competitors steering I had on there!

Adopt me?

Thanks fellers!

Adopt ya huh!

Andy is the man.... You will not find a guy more willing to help and more willing to stand behind his parts! Nice shot!

If I had tried to make that my junk would have bottomed out, broke every shock on it and come to a stop upside down in a heep of junk. I want to see a video of that jump!

The thing that I love about Andy is his attention to detail and quality. He told me straight blank if it takes me a bit longer to make it right I will. He oversees all aspects of the build processes and ensures it meets his high standards of quality before it is sent to customers. Truly "old school" made in the USA mentality and it is appreciated!

Kudo's to Andy @ Ironman4x4fab.com for not "farming" it all out!!!!! :yelclap:

Lowrange2 - I got nothin! LOL!

That's awesome!

I've always wanted to do that, but fear bad end results =/

Wow thats freaking cool! Sounds like you guys had a blast.

Thanks ya'll! Yup a blast!

Here is a pic of one of my so so attempts and the short landing. Note full compression in rear at bump stop. It lands like on a cloud of titties even when shorted up.

LOL What bumps are out back?

Not enough! It's not to bad though especially with 6" of uptravel in the shock. So when it hits them it's already been dampened a lot. They are 4" dropped platforms with factory rubber bumps attached to them. :gee:

After the Windrock race October 27th there will be a lot of changes for next year's racing season. Most of the gear is already sitting in the garage.

Front:
- Set of 10" reservoir Kings.
- HP D60 kingpin
- 5.5" springs so I can remove the ACOS
- Possibly a set of air bumps (currently not needed with Prothane coil inserts)
Rear:
- Set of 14" or 16" reservoir Kings. Mounted from ubolt top plates or ubolt eliminators.
- 14 bolt FF/4.56/Detroit locker from a CUCV
- Set of air bumps.
- Keep current 3.5" RE springs and 2" shackles

bla bla bla yada yada yada :eyes:

i keep telling mah wife that jeep s fly but noooo she just isnt buying it nice pics man

To note: It was 4 ft off the ground but flew more than 20 feet in distance.

O and I figured out ya'll how or why my boy out did me. We had a conversation about racing strategy. I was running 4H for what I was hoping would be for more control in turns. He started off in 4H but wanted to see how the open rear would push/react in turns for more of a power drift scenario.

So I reckon it worked because analyzing the video we took he was less loose in the prior turn to the jump and hill leading to it. Imagine that! :gee: When it was locked in the rear it would power into a donut when trying to drift. DOH!

The stuff you learn from kids! Brilliant by GAWD as Robby Bobby would say! LOL!:dunce:
