I finally got off my A$$ and built a double swing arm rear bumper! The left carries my spare that was getting slammed under the rear of the van on mild inclines! I made the ladder to access my roof rack I built several years ago! The ladder swings down and cradles the tire for easy lifting and once lifted gets bolted to the swing arm to take the weight off the ladder. The right side will soon have a Baja box and a rack for fuel cans! I plan on finishing the corners off by adding material and giving it a finished look. I will also be cutting in a hitch receiver and bracing it to the frame! I'm really happy with the ladders efficiency as a ladder and cradle for the tire eliminating the need to bear hug and lift the tire to secure it to the swing arm. It sure makes getting the surf boards and kayak up to the rack a lot easier too!

While building my rear and taking as long as it did I happen to come across this front bumper off an F150! I could not pass up the deal and got it for $350.00. I adapted it and customized the original brackets. Next I'll be welding in the winch plate I have and putting the 9.5 winch I won at the Bear Fest 2 years ago that's still in the box!
