Filled up the truck

Can't, filled up friday nite in Allentown Pa for $1.63 a gallon. It is still $1.89 here in the poconos ~20mi north of allentown..Last month at this time it was over $2.00 a gallon.. Kerosene is STILL $1.99 here no matter where you go and has not budged in 3 months... while Kero in new jersey last nite as we were headed home was $2.29 a gallon, not alot of places sell it as kero heaters are illegal in nj afaik... too many people put gas in them and burned down stuff...

87 octane? Oh yeah, that goes in the trail rig.....The Belvidere Oasis on I90 has it for 1.699 as of last Thursday. 1.839 close to home.

Diesel around here is running from 2.399 up in Palatine, down to 1.949 in Elgin (may have been a 1 day special.)

I paid $1.55 last night for 87 at my neighborhood BP. I could probably find it cheaper if I looked around.

$1.61 this morning here in Loveland, Colordo. It has been running $1.80 - $1.90

2.299 here in SF chevron 87 octane.
not the liberals but profit taking from the communities with the highest per capita incomes in the world...we pay what the market will bear...supply and demand Lore5...supply and demand.

I was exagerating, but one of the reasons gas is so high in CA is because our state is forced to put so many different additives in the gas.

what additives...you mean ethanol? MTBE? what else? just curious to know what exactly is in our gas compared to other states, because AFAIK our refineries deliver to alot of other states which would make their prices higher too. Of course if this is true, then it would explain why i experienced the same prices in WA,OR,NV and CA...all states which get the same gas from the refineries i see on my way to tahoe. if there is anybody reading this thread with first hand knowledge please enlighten me.

Gas is like the cigarettes. The biggest reason for price differentiation between regions is state & local taxes.

Was a $1.68 earlier in the week but went back up to $1.79 yesterday here in the northern suburbs of Detroit.

Scott Mac has it with the tax angle...

Locally, 1.72 to 1.78 for 87 octane. would be much cheaper 45 min south in SC.
also locally @ $23.50 (tax incl) cartons of Marlboros so :dunno: cheaper in SC or VA?

Sierra Nevada Pales 6 for $7.50 or 12 for $14.50 unless on sale. Breakfast Beer @ 12 for $7-9 Any grocery/gas station worth stopping at sells beer, gotta go to the county-run store for booze only. Yuppity Groceries for wine.

Much less than up in MA... If I had to live there for more than a short sentence, I'd be fomenting a tea party (shaak feeding)

23.50 a carton? The only reason I quit smoking is the price. We're paying 40 bucks a carton and 5 bucks a pack. Nicoderm CQ finaly became cheaper than the real thing.

And it was only $1.45 per gallon for 87 octane.

Beat it.
Looks like you could start yourself a nice little "bootleg" gas business.I'll pay 1.60 a gallon delivered, let me know I'm on empty.

We hit the class VI store at picitanny arsenal saturday, stocked up on booze for the holidays and I got my obligatory case of Fosters in the big oil sized cans [for those of you who remember oil cans] :D thats good for about 10 pizza's or so... Wife hates it when I go shopping there with her, she buys me 3 which I consider a 'token', me, 'Hey, we need a case or two over here'.... Love the big cans that way I don't have to make extra trips to the reefer...
Need to do a couple of service calls tomorrow and will cruise on to the local army depot to see what the fuel prices are there, that eliminates the state taxes.
