Fall Run 2010

In lieu of our BOD stepping in and starting some planning, I say we nominate someone who's been there a few times to give us some ideas. It would seem like that's you Valdez. I've only been once.

We need to decided where we're camping, arrival times, attendance list, formation of different wheeling teams based on rig ability, maps and park layouts, coordinated effort for food, etc. Oh, and I don't know if Chia has been to HF, but I'm saying no event where we race around.

I've never been :(

I just want / need to wheel so Im not looking for a lot of organization.

Although, organization may get more partcipation.

There is a run the same weekened at Barnwell that a couple friends are making so I can go there if this event needs changing or falls through. However, I committed to this first so I'm there if others are.

How about we start with food?

Who is showing up when?

As far as groups, I believe we can all follow each other regardless of modifications there.

I think that I've got one of those crappy portable camping stoves. I'll check it out and see so that I can bring it with. Burgers are fun, but dogs are way easier. Beer will be for dinner.

I was planning on taking Friday off and heading out that way. It's a short jaunt from my place. I'd probably be the first there in that case. Does anyone else plan on getting there Friday morning?

I was looking at some old event threads for food ideas and saw this thread:

Frito chili pie really is easy for a bunch of people so we can look at doing that for dinner one night. Same with breakfast burritos in the morning. Then again, Chia says Rodger has a turkey fryer.....I do seem to remember having some fried turkey at barnwell Nov'08.

That's me :)

if there is a group of us i'll fry a Turkey. Just a lot of hassle for a few :) The oil is good for other stuff like fries and such too.

Nom nom nom.

Ok, is fried stuff enough of an incentive for someone with moderating powers to start an attendance list on the firrst post (looking at you Kurt) or do I need to start a new post?

OK, some of the Nissan guys want to wheel Barnwell the same weekend of the 23rd.
I know Barnwell is far for some of you guys :(
There only seems to be a handful of the Nissan guys and a handful here...
Wonder if we could combine?

Just sayin... anyone ?

I will not drive to barnwell for this. If I wheel hidden falls by myself, so be it. I'm renouncing my RRC membership the next day.

...As of right now it just looks like some of you guys getting together to wheel, put that in perspective with what other chapters are doing.

That's pretty much what it is. Just a few folks from the Chapter getting toegether and wheeling. That's what it's all about. :peace:

It doesn't have to be an "Official" event every time a few folks with XJs get together and wheel.

Im going to try and make it to this run but the bank account will decide that when the time comes. So who wants to start a new thread so some planning can be done a little easier and compile the info into one place?
