Fall Run 2010

From what I know, correct me if I am wrong here, is that most of that place is a mud pit. Most of us despise mud and would rather have a bad day on a trail then a good day in the mud.

On a side not to consider the 22-24 of October the "Cypress Offroad" group from Houston will be there (Hidden Falls) in all there Wrangler glory.

I like that idea. Show those Wrangler Boys that XJs are the better Jeeps.

But thats just a personal note. lol

There is a lot of mud there, but it can be avoided. There are enough trails for a couple
of days. It's more of a party spot than anything. I'll probably go...
p.s. I'm not into mudd riding. Don't be such a hater.

I'm not hating...Just commenting on what alot of the members that I have met state to me over time. Alot of us (majority of the regular crew) that attend our events would rather trail ride and play on the rocks than play in the mud.

The other side is that some people like to bring their kids. As you say its more of a party spot that leads me to believe it is not that "family" friendly of an environment. I am just trying to look out for the group fun aspect as well.

The weekend of the 16th of October would work for me as well.

I am OK with Shilo or Hidden falls... just need a little advance notice.

I didn't think about kids thing. I would never bring my kids to Shiloh....well i guess if they were 16 or older maybe. Shiloh is just something different that most wheeling spots. Drinking is almost encouraged on the trail. It gets pretty crazy. I've seen someone towing a mobile stripper pole behind their rig. blaise

I'm with blaise, let's go to Shiloh

Can I humbly request that it's not the weekend of the 15th-16th? That's the UT-cornheads game. I can't wait to send them out of the conference with their tails tucked between the legs.

Coincidentally, the weekend before (Oct 9-10th) is a bye week for Texas. Good for me.

NO! XXXX hot springs and gilmer for every santioned trip.

When was the last time you wheeled Hot Springs? Or Clayton even?

Never have. Not knocking them. When's the last time you wheeled somewhere in Central Texas? Better yet, when's the last time RRC had an official event that wasn't in Hot Springs or Gilmer?

Hey guys. Im down for whenever. I suggest a weekend so more people can go. :] Just sayin. Hot Springs is top of my list. I'll make the drive. Hopefully I can convoy up there. My drive to and from Gilmer was kind of lonely last time.

No matter what weekend you pick, people will bitch. No matter what park you pick, people will bitch. Somebody step up and decide both or it will be December already!!!

Yeah, magi and I kinda left that open so see how many people will step up and decide. Sorry about that. lol.

As for where the Fall Run will be held, the "region" was picked and not up for change. We have always held events in the "Northern" part of our Chapter. It's time for us you go closer to other members. There is some great wheeling in the hill country and I for one have been dying to go.
