Exploring WI

Ok so this week I took some time off of work and I am meeting friends for skiing but I'll still have lots of free time. So... anyone know any neat places to go/things to see in the areas of Hwy 29 to Wausau and Hwy 51 to Hurley, beacause thats were I'm going, and yes I know what Hurley is good for, just looking for things I dont know about.

Where are you starting from to go wausau? I don't know anything to tell you to do but, I live in Abbotsford which right 29.

I live outside Green Bay so, that would be my route, 29 to wausau and 51 north to Hurley. I'll have net access on the trip so feel free to still hit me up.

Where ever you wheel just make sure it is LEGAL. I'm not familiar with the area you're discussing at all, so I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt. ILLEGAL wheeling will not be tolerated here.

I live a few minutes north of hwy 29. As far as I know there really isn't any wheeling in the areas you are going to be traveling. Unless someone has some private land you get permission for. If you were heading up through Mountain or Lakewood area there is the pipeline and McCaslin. HTH

Wausau has some really good places to eat. I highly recomend Texas roadhouse right of hwy 51 great staff and food. there is a state park near Antigo Wi that is awesome grat trails and waterfalls. If get to check out the dells also.

Ok well I'm back it was nice to see some snowy countryside before the melt going on right now, it sucks! Thanks for the input though, I will be checking out those two places that were mentioned and i know about (mccaslin and pipeline) think ill make a camping trip sometime in the summer to mccaslin. Also one other thing ive noticed is you can find lots of logging trails and paths on public land that are legal to go on, I find myself more of an explorer and a curious person when im out and about. Just wish WI had more places to go. I'm a non-member currently but just curious on the next member event (locally, if such a thing exists) if I could meet up and check out what you all are like? (You all seem cool online 4 sure lol)
