You can tell it raining outside as I just finished another write up. This time I have added a carbon fibre film over the main dash face to give it a bit of a kick. Lets hope it is still in good taste to other eyes as well and not too ricer ;)

Hey go-jeep(or anybody) I have the power/comfort switch for my tranny on my 88, I have no idea when or if it has ever been used. The tranny has about 250k on it. If I push the button over to power, I am afraid it is going to blow up!!!!! Should I just leave it alone or does it make that much diff?

You have way too much free time, you need to give me some of it!
Looks good and you have one of the best websites on XJ's tech goin.

DO NOT PUSH THAT BUTTON!!!! ITS AN EJECTION SEAT AND SELF DESTRUCT SEQUENCE COMBINED!

Whoa... somebody actually HAS the factory clock in the dash AND it's working? A while ago I was looking to fill that empty space in the dash, and had no luck at the reckers finding one. Even the factory clock doesn't make real good use of that space. I ended up putting a 110V 2 outlet plug in that spot. It actually fits like it was ment to be there! pretty sweet...

I have an 89 that has that button. It really doesn'r make much of a differance which way it's set I always leave mine set on power.

Your dash looks great, now how do you get rid of the snapping and popping noises that come out of the dash when hitting bumps?
I have had the dash apart, twice, gluing rubber and felt pads whereever two pieces of plastic touch. It still makes a lot of noise.
Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated

Also, thanks for your great site; I learn something every time I look at it

how do you remove the dash panel. I got mine out when i put my cd player in, but with a lot of diffuculty and ended up scraping it on the top of the steering console. damn near thought i was going to bust the thing in two. there has to be some easierway to get it off.
i went to go jeeps site clicked where it said "see how here" and it just says remove the 4 screws ,big help i expected more from go jeep. I know i'm going to need to take it off again and this time i dont want to break it.

Did you remove the plastic clam-shell type thing that goes aroound the steering column? There are 3 torx screws that you remove from underneath it and then it pulls apart. I think it takes a t-25 but don't remember for sure. HTH.
