ETS Light- 99 Chevy Cavalier

Anyone know anything about the ETS light on a 1999 z24 convertible, AT, 45,000 miles. I did a brake job (rotors and pads) recently and the light came on about 2 miles after my brake job. It has stayed on and the check engine light has now come on. Plus, the cars is shifting roughly between gears now.

Any help would be great- I know what the light stands for...how do I fix the problem?

I would venture a guess that you knocked a wire or sensor loose, it seems odd that it didn't happen until just after you worked on the car.

Insure it, and then Light it on FIRE. ( this is not a suggestion to participate in what maybe considered illegal activities.)
