Error codes 12-43-43-11-55

Well I have about a 5-6 hour window of time before the next storm rolls in here and I probably won't escape from work for another hour or so (and that's taking off early). We load up on the trailer in the morning and I still have a lot of packing to do.

The way I see it is at least if I buy the stuff I can put it on if I need it. If I don't use it I can take it back. If I go as I am now I'm setting myself up for a very dissappointing and expensive trip.

Once again, it seems like it could be temperature related. Run it hard, shut it down, wait a bit, crank up and it runs like crap. That seems to be a consistent formula. I'm leaning more toward the temp sensor but I'm not sure how to check it.

Well I stopped by Autozone and the guy there said it could be the coil pickup in the distributor. That part was about $35 and the whole distributor was about $50. I bought the whole thing as well as a fuel filter and a temp sensor. Got home and pulled things apart. The inside of the dist cap points were a bit rough as well as the end of the rotor. The shaft of the dist had some play in it, much more than the replacement I bought. About 20 minutes later I had the dist changed. Pretty straightforward. Went back to Autozoo for a cap and rotor, changed them out and checked that it ran. Hopefully that will get it. Time will tell. I'll try to post back to let ya'll know.

Well guys, thanks for the help. Changing the distributor has fixed this problem. I ran all week through some of the toughest trails in Moab without so much as a hickup.
