I'm sure I mentioned that on the way out. It was quite comical seeing us put all of that crap on top of our rigs. I had 3 kids and the wife, and the blazer had 2 kids and a wife worth of stuff we had to take with us.

I wanna see some film of the trail repair on that! Did he have a spare shaft?
we had to go back up to a junk yard in Delta to find a shaft. Other than that, it wasn't a big deal. C-clip stuff is pretty easy to put back together.

That sucks. We just did that trail a couple weeks ago. I made it up on top with my xj. Got hung up on the pointy rock at the top. Wife and kids gave it the final tug with tow strap and then I strapped the rental Rubi and another tj. The hole at the bottom was a bitch. We kept sliding into it too. I like the mini cycle on top. Thats the "We are doing it one freaking way or the other attitude". Did you make it up to the lake and California pass? Im from Michigan and was amazed at the scenery. Gotta go back again. We stayed in Ouray. What a great town. This photo was from the top, before heading down to Silverton. COLORADO, WHAT A STATE!

That's an awesome pic. We never did make it. By the time we got the axle fixed, it was pretty much time to pack our crap and go. I didn't even get to try to go up, but at that point, none of the women were even going to let me attempt it. btw, when that happened w fit 5 kids and 4 adults into my jeep and drove up to montrose where we found a motel that night. Drove on up to delta the next moring.

Cool video. I could swear you posted that same video a few months back. I remember commenting about all the junk on the roof. Maybe not. Still good to watch:D

DOH!! Saw the date at the end of the video July 06. Should have read a little closer:D Still was cool to hear the bowtie axle snap again.:peace:

I didn't realize that. I've had the video put together for a while, but I am just finally getting around to getting my website updated with that colorado trip stuff.

I can't get the idea out of my head of an 8' popup camper on 31's or 33's. I figure I would run the same wheels and tires as the jeep. One spare on the back of the camper, and one spare on the back of the jeep, and everything is interchangeable.
